Steven Galeano is a New York City–based director, photographer, and creative director whose work centers on cinematic storytelling shaped by culture, faith, and the human condition.

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Galeano brings a distinct cross-cultural perspective to his work. He studied filmmaking at the Centro de Investigación Cinematográfica in Buenos Aires, where his training focused on writing and narrative development—an influence that continues to define his approach across film, photography, and creative direction.

At the core of Galeano’s work is story. Whether directing a fashion film, developing visual campaigns for artists, or producing independent films, his projects are grounded in character, emotional depth, and a strong narrative foundation.

His creative perspective is also shaped by his Christian faith, which informs his empathetic approach to storytelling. Galeano often explores themes of identity, brokenness, redemption, and the complexity of the human experience, observing his subjects with both curiosity and compassion.

After relocating to the United States four years ago, Galeano has built his career through independent filmmaking and creative collaborations across the fashion, music, and visual arts communities. His work frequently lives at the intersection of cinema, fashion, and culture, combining strong visual language with narrative intention.
